NanoOpto Appoints Bruce Nonnemaker as Vice President of Manufacturing and Operations

Somerset,
New Jersey. January 11, 2005. NanoOpto
Corporation, who is applying novel design methods
and proprietary nano-fabrication technology to produce a broad
range of unique optical components that enable higher quality,
low-cost optical components and systems, today announced that
Bruce Nonnemaker has joined the company as Vice President of
Manufacturing and Operations.
Nonnemaker
brings over 30 years of experience in Operations, Manufacturing,
Sales, Marketing, and Finance to NanoOpto. Prior to joining NanoOpto,
Nonnemaker was an Executive Vice President at Emcore, where he
had divisional responsibility for a $60M equipment and materials
business. Previously, Nonnemaker has held executive positions as
Vice President of Operations at Alpha Industries with functional
responsibilities for wafer fabrication, process development engineering,
Information Technology, and Quality Assurance; General Manager
for IBM Worldwide Accounts at KLA Instruments Corporation with
responsibility for sales, marketing, and maintenance of five product
lines; and Vice President of Worldwide Semiconductor Manufacturing
at Digital Equipment Corporation with responsibility for U.S. and
U.K. plant operations. Nonnemaker holds an MBA from Boston
University, an MSEE from Lehigh University, and a BSEE from Pennsylvania
State University.
